Lewis Jenkins

Lewis has been the EMS Director since July 2004. He is a Madison County native who has been married since 1983 with two children. Lewis started his EMS career as a volunteer with the Madison County Rescue Squad in 1979. He obtained his National Registry Paramedic in 1984 when he was hired as one of the original Flight Paramedics with the University of Virginia's Pegasus Medavac program. Lewis was one of the ALS Coordinators with the UVA Prehospital Education Program before coming to Madison EMS.

Robin Clark

Robin has been the EMS Lieutenant since March 2003 and with the agency as a Paramedic since 2001. He is originally from Florida where he started his Fire/EMS career since 1988. He is currently a Firefighter/Critical Care Paramedic. Robin has been married since 1994 and has a daughter. He works part-time for UVA-Pegasus Medical Transport Network and is a member of the Safety Committee. Robin volunteers as a Greene County Rescue Squad Board of Director.

Andy has been an EMS Lieutenant since 2009, and a medic in Madison since 2004.  He is a long-time volunteer with the Charlottesville-Albemarle Rescue Squad.  He now lives in Manassas with his wife and dog, and is an avid distance runner.


Jake Benner

Jake is a paramedic from Charlottesville, Va. He earned his degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, with a concentration in political science,  from UVA in 2006. He has been involved in EMS since 2000. He started with Madison EMS in 2003 as a medic, and from 2006-2009 he worked alongside Robin Clark as a Lieutenant.  In addition to Madison, Jake is a life-member of CARS. He is now part-time with Madison while living in Blacksburg attending medical school at Virginia Tech/Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Bill Brady

Bill is the Vice Chair/Professor of Emergency Medicine at UVA Emergency Department, and has been with MEMS since 2004. He also serves as the Medical Director for CARS and for Mondial USA and Canada, a travel insurance company. Bill completed his undergraduate degree from UVA and his medical degree from VCU. Following residencies at UVA, he was board-certified in both Internal and Emergency Medicine.

Andrew is a paramedic from Fairfax, Virginia. He currently lives in Charlottesville and volunteers with CARS and Seminole Trail Volunteer Fire Department. He has a bachelor's degree in computer science from UVA.

Rick is a full-time flight paramedic with MedStar in Washington, DC and is currently part-time with MEMS. He started his EMS career 9 years ago while attending JMU. He has worked with Harrisonburg Rescue, Lifeline, and is a member of CARS. He currently lives in Alexandria.

Sam is a Paramedic who lives in Charlottesville and currently attends UVA School of Medicine. When not in school or working for MEMS, he volunteers for both CARS and Seminole Trail Volunteer Fire Department.

Matthew is a Paramedic who recently moved from Cincinnati, Ohio to work for Valley Health's Medical Transport Network based out of Winchester, Virginia. He attended Radford University where he was in charge of one of only three all student run volunteer collegiate rescue squads in the commonwealth, RUEMS. During that time he also acquired his Paramedic from National College in Salem, Virginia. He currently resides in Harrisonburg, Virginia and is preparing to return school at James Madison University for Physicians Assisting Program.

Jason is an Intermediate who has lived in Charlottesville for the last 7 years, ever since moving there to attend UVA. During that time, he has been a volunteer with CARS. Jason is currently attending the VCU Paramedic program.

Steve is originally from Northern Virginia and currently resides in Charlottesville, Virginia. He received his Paramedic degree from the UVA Paramedic Program and his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the College of Arts & Sciences at the University of Virginia. He was a former fire officer with Seminole Trail Volunteer Fire Department and is currently a medic/Duty Officer with CARS. Steve works full-time as a Paramedic/Firefighter for Fairfax County Fire Department.

Noah is from Charlottesville, VA and has been a medic for 4 years. He is currently works full-time for Orange County Department of Fire and EMS. Noah also holds a position in the Medical Communications Center (Medcom) at UVA which dispatches Pegasus and flight follows numerous Medevac agencies in Virginia. In his spare time he is an avid amateur radio operator.

Serena and her son have been residents of Madison County since March of 2000 when she moved here from Virginia Beach. She has been a member of Davis Conner Volunteer Rescue Squad in Virginia Beach, Madison County Volunteer Rescue Squad, and works full time as a medic for Culpeper Emergency Services. Serena works at Madison EMS part time and has been in EMS for 9 years.

Anthony is a native of Surry, Va.  He moved to Charlottesville to attend the University of Virginia.  He holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the College of Arts and Sciences.  His EMS career started in 2003 at the Charlottesville-Albemarle Rescue where he currently serves at the Training Officer.

Anne has been a resident of Madison County since 1986. She has been involved in EMS for over 13 years and has been a Paramedic since 1998. Anne currently works full-time as a nurse at Culpeper Regional Hospital Emergency Department.
Mark Sikora

Mark started his EMS career in NY and then moved to Virginia in 1997. He started with Madison EMS as a part-time employee in 2000 and has moved through the ranks to Coordinator. He remained as Coordinator until July 2004 when he obtained a full time position as a flight paramedic. Mark still works part-time for MEMS and Orange County Fire/EMS, while flying full-time with Aircare.

Cindy, originally from New York, is a an Intermediate currently residing with her family in Greene County.  In addition to Madison, Cindy has been a member of CARS for the last 6 years, where she currently holds the position of crew captain.

Ryan is an Intermediate from Greene County where he also volunteers for Greene Volunteer Fire Department. Ryan has been a medic for 2 years recently leaving the UVA Pegasus Transport Network to join Madison EMS.

Paul is a Paramedic from Elkton, Virginia, and has been with MEMS for 5 years; he currently serves as our department's OSHA Officer. In addition to his full-time job working as a Paramedic/Firefighter for Orange County Fire/EMS, he has several part-time jobs, including working as a medic for UVA Special Events Medical Management, regularly teaching CPR/ACLS/PEPP classes, and works seasonally for the Ski Patrol at Massanutten Ski Resort.

Jennifer is an EMT-Enhanced working at Madison EMS. She also volunteers with Charlottesville-Albemarle Rescue Squad.  She has lived in Charlottesville for four years during which time she earned a BS in Biology at the University of Virginia.

Kevin lives in Madison and has been in EMS for 13 years. Before joining MEMS, he volunteered for MCRS and worked at the UVA Emergency Department as an ED technician. In addition to MEMS, Kevin works part-time for UVA Special Events Medical Management.

Todd is a resident of Madison and has been involved in fire/EMS for many years. He has been a volunteer with Harrisonburg Rescue since 1996 and is currently a full-time firefighter/paramedic with Fairfax County Fire/EMS, where he serves as a Lieutenant.

Zeb lives in Harrisonburg where he is employed as the EMS Lieutenant for the Harrisonburg Fire Department. In addition, Zeb is an ACLS, PALS and CPR instructor.

Glenn has been with Madison since 2005 and is from Troy, Virginia. In addition, Glenn is a life member of CARS where he currently holds the position of Duty Officer. When not in Madison or running at CARS, Glenn can usually be found gallivanting around Virginia on his Harley Davidson.

Liza is from Galax Va, but has been living in Charlottesville for the past 6 years. She graduated from the University of Virginia with a BS in Sports Medicine. She completed her Paramedic studies at Piedmont Virginia Community College where she earned an AAS degree in EMS. She has been a volunteer member at Charlottesville-Albemarle Rescue Squad since 2005 and also works for Richmond Ambulance Authority. In her free time she enjoys spending time in the great outdoors and traveling.
